It was a dream holiday for 7 nights. My two teen daughters, my husband and I loved it so much. No stress, good food, plenty to do and just Relaxing time. We loved it so much that we already booked another cruise for 15 days this time with the Sea Princess in December 2020. Our new cruise : Cruise: Christmas and New Year in Southeast Asia Cruise line: Princess Cruises Ship: Sea Princess Departs: Fremantle, 23 December 2020, 17:00 Returns: Fremantle, 7 January 2021, 06:00 Thanks to everyone for working so hard to make our holiday a dream. I already recommended your cruises to many of my friends and will continue to do it in the future.

About the 14th time on this Ship. Love everything about it and the crew. But would be better with more seating. All areas. Show's need to be changed more often.

Top Balcony Cabin- a joke with balcony so small and cabin was very tired. Most Staff in dining room were good but had to keep repeating food allergies for ever meal even though had filled in menu day before. Pantry staff couldn't understand or speak English so very difficult with my food allergies. Female staff in photo gallery very rude and unhelpful. Cabin staff were very good except had a used wet face washer hanging in shower on arrival! Went with my daughter for her 40th birthday and her husband, 4 years old & 6year old grandchildren nothing special from cruise ship for her birthday and I had to pay for the cake. Speciality Restaurant was excellent and had high tea there also. Anytime dining does not exist had to book main dining room and after day 3 0f 7 days they finally got it right. Very annoyed I had to pay in Luke M restaurant when my daughter and my sister in-law didn't have to pay extra. My daughter received $100 on board credit, NZ ice cream voucher, Luke M Restaurant FREE, Go catch voucher. My sister in-law received $200 on board credit, NZ ice cream voucher, Go catch voucher & Luke M restaurant FREE & I received $200 on board credit, NZ ice cream & Go catch voucher NO FREE Restaurant voucher. My daughter and I live in North Brisbane area and booked together so didn't need Go catch voucher. Would I book again on P&O...NO!

Writing as a senior citizen duo, we just completed a 7 night cruise on the Pacific Dawn. We had a lovely time, embarkation and disembarkation were both very smooth, as were all transfers to shore for excursions. Our cabin was good, being a 4 berth, with 2 bunks folded against the wall. Our mattresses were not good, being fairly old & faded, and only 4 inch innerspring, only half the depth of our friend's mattresses, who had a cabin in much better condition than ours was. Luckily we were able to use the 2 mattresses from the top bunks underneath our mattresses, which then made for a comfortable night's sleep. We were happy with the positioning, being fairly near the centre of the ship, so only a 20 to 100 metre walk to the lifts. Staff and crew were excellent, the entertainment crew did a good job, though there was a bit of stuff that went on that I would not have liked my children to have heard. The food was excellent, and my main criticism is that there were no sugar-free drinks except diet coke, and if you have ever seen what coke does to either a coin or a nail left in a glass of coke, you would not drink it either. There are some lovely fruit flavoured sugarfree drinks available, but not on board unless you take them on yourselves. My main tip for people would be to make sure you take what you want with you, as I made an expensive mistake by leaving one medication at home accidently, and it cost me $475.00 for a quarter of the same thing I got from Airley Beach for $6.40 - almost 300 times as expensive. Another tip is to check your on board spending carefully, as P & O have double charged me for 3 things and over $150 extra has been double charged to my account, and it is not easy to try & get this money returned.

Although my balcony cabin was OK, the furnishings had a bit of wear, and the deck chairs and table on the balcony looked like they belonged in a tip. Entertainment was good to very good Beverages were ok and at reasonable prices. The food overall, was crap. First noght in the Waterfront, my meal (steak) was cooked ok, but was tasteless. Second night, we had seafood platters at $60 each, and the lobster was dry and bland (ex frozen). The last night, I had ribs, and was surprised that they were actually good. Breakfast in the Waterfron again, my omelette was tasteless, and service was very ordinary. I would most likely, not sail with P&O again. I have done 13 cruises around the world, and that was definitely the worst restaurant food I have had. The comedy also, was restricted to the theater only - I would have thought there may have been more smaller venues during the afternoon.

Would go on a another cruise travelled in November, 2017 and left the following review:
The cruise was good but the entertainment could have been better. They had two bands that played the same music and I mean the same songs.Long waits at the bar for service.Still had a good time and would go again. If you want to send me more offers I would be happy to consider them.Regards Tony.

A good introduction to cruising. I was very impressed with the balcony cabin - not big but roomy enough and very comfortable. The staff/crew were all amazing and very good at what they do. Would definately recommend the premium drinks package and cannot speak highly enough of the catering. The Salt restaurant is a dining experience that must be done too - brilliant. Stops were the only disappointing aspect of this cruise. Noumea was very uninteresting and poorly timed - arriving in port mid afternoon on a Monday and leaving again at around 9pm didn't present many possibilities - most places were shut or shutting. Life was a good spot to laze on the beach and have a swim - nothing else there really. Port Vila was good though - had an interesting tour around with a local taxi driver (much cheaper than booking through the ship) and the perfect spot to pick up your duty free before heading home. All in all, a good introduction to cruising. Will I do it again? Sure will!

This was without a doubt the most relaxing holiday we have had. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the food was amazing. The entertainment was of such a high standard we thought we were on broadway! We had an internal cabin which was ok except for the air-conditioner not working which was the only negative for the week. Next time we will get a window but overall the cabin didn't feel too small. I would highly recommend this cruise.

We stayed in the middle of the ship on level 9, the cabin had a window so was good and clean, the staff were all lovely, some were a little hard to understand as they did speak a lot of English, the food was a little sad in the pantry Resturant and because we didn't know we had to book the waterfront Resturant as soon as we got on board we didn't get a table there, the cruise we went only went for 3 days and it was 3 days too long :( there was very little to do and the p n o tv was terrible , it would play the same movie all day long over and over, there was no movies on at the movies and only a few games of bingo on each day.. so all in all I was pretty disappointed with the cruise .

There were 4 of us 2 had been on the same cruise last year we all had a great time ,2nd time cruisers thought The new Pantry was much better than last year. Our cabin steward Russell was so nice and helpful when seasickness hit, go to reception and ask he advised(They had magic pills).Entertainment was good especially enjoyed the Piano Man, theme nights were fun even if you didn't dress up ,food was fine catered to every taste ,ate 1 breakfast & 1 dinner in the waterfront restaurant nice to be waited on.We all had drink packages, loved the cocktails bar staff are terrific .Going ashore at islands was easy didn't prebook tours just did our own thing.Overall everything was clean well organized friendly always something to do or you could just sit back and relax really enjoyed it would happily do it again .

As first time cruisers we were unsure what to expect, the whole family are now cruise lovers!! couldn't fault P&O Pacific Dawn, staff were fabulous and cruise director Willie made our experience. As first timers and our first time overseas PNG was definitely the best choice, it was great to immerse my kids in the traditions, culture and lifestyle of the people. Seeing sights from an active volcano and hot springs, WWII historical sites to beautiful breathtaking islands. This cruise offered everything ypu could wish for. The PNG people were very welcoming and excited by the cruises visit, my home is now littered with beautiful carvings and wonderful memories.. PNG is a must for avid photographers, no one can take a bad photo here, even me!!! this cruise is a must for anyone's bucket list!! We may even do it again, to catch up with some of the lovely locals we met!!
