Voyager of the seas - Voyager Of The Seas Cruise Review

"Cabin was Superior Deluxe Balcony Aft. ( close to midship ) Very comfortable and spacious housekeeping staff were fantastic. Mainly dined in the main dining room , no complaints about any meals all delicious . No complaints about any staff on the ship, they are all very friendly and very hard working. Ice- skating shows were brilliant, most of the entertainment in the La Scala Theatre were quite good but there was a couple of shows that were boring. We got a good deal through Crazy Cruises. Mystery Island and Noumea were great to visit. In Port Vila we got a cab into town centre, after 10 minutes we had 7 people following us everywhere we went , my wife was scared of being mugged so we returned to the ship by taxi. They even followed us to the taxi. So Port Vila is the only place we don't want to return to. Cruise and ship fantastic. First cruise absolutely loved it. Drink package a must!!!"

Unfortunate that were the next passengers after the brawl on the Carnival Legend - Carnival Legend Cruise Review

"We were very excited to book with Carnival Legend as we have always wanted to sail up the west coast of Tasmania as shown on the map when booking. This was the only reason that we booked the cruise, imagine our huge disappointment when we cruised back up the east coast. To start with because the Carnival Legend had to do an extra dock at Eden, which meant the ship was late docking into Melbourne, we were 3 hours late in boarding. We stood in the hot sun for an hour before being allowed to queue for boarding. Then we queued for another 90 mins waiting for embarkation. We finally boarded the ship at 5.45pm. Once on board we began to relax and explore the ship. We had a balcony stateroom. The stateroom wasn't as big as we had had before but was suffient for the 4 night cruise. The staff seemed a bit tense but very welcoming, our cabin steward was great. We were on deck 6 and towards the back of the ship and this was fine. Our first meal on board(evening meal) was very bland and seemed to be just put together, by the third day the food had got better. I require a gluten free diet and our waiter Yordan was very good making sure that my needs were met. The entertainment by the Carnival entertainers was exceptional, in fact the best we have seen on a cruise ship. A favorite venue of ours was the Red Frog Pub. The atmosphere was fabulous and the music great. Once again I must reiterate that we were extremely disappointed to not have sailed up the west coast as this was part of our "bucket list". We had already cruised around the mainland and this cruise was to complete the journey. Would I sail with Carnival again? I'm not sure. Would I book with Crazy Cruises again after the disappointment of not sailing up the west coast? Again I'm not sure as I feel this was false advertising. I have sent an email to Jason Cruise Speciaist expressing our disappointment but as yet no reply Caroline"

cabin and resturants - P&O - Pacific Eden Cruise Review

"the cabin was comfortable with very good quality bed. The TV was much smaller thanthe one you sent in the email photo and the only news weather was global even though we were only in Australian waters. when dining at the restaurants we could not get a steak or lamb and the meals were mostly slow cooker stew type. other couples told us about what type of cabin they had and what they paid and what spending money they got. It appeared that we got the worst deal compared to all others we spoke to. one couple had a suite with a Balcony with all the extras that go with a suite and paid $5200 and received $450 spending money thru cruisabout .This is lower than we paid so we got the wrong agent"

Not so good on Pacific Explorer - P&O - Pacific Explorer Cruise Review

"We have done several cruises from short ones to 9 day ones. Previous P&O ships being Pacific Jewel and Pacific Pearl. We have just come back from being on Pacific Explorer which we were not impressed with. It was a real shame. The other P&O ships were wonderful but this one had a strange layout and design which we did not like. The cabins were very small and awkward in shape. We could not see any shows as the layout in the theatre was not staggered and no matter where you tried to sit you could not see anything. However the staff were excellent and very friendly. Always greeted and spoke to you. Made you feel very welcome. The food was also excellent and the drink prices were reasonable compared to other cruise lines. "

"The balcony cabin was great. The staff were fabulous, the food and drink was to die for! The shows amazing! However.......the smell of sewage was horrendous! It was wafting round that ship! It was in our room of a night! That God we had a balcony door we could keep open!! P&O need to clean up the stench!!!! This was our first cruise and we have been told the smell isn't on other ships!"

Diamond Princess - Diamond Princess Cruise Review

"As first time cruisers, we totally enjoyed the trip, we found the food and service excellent, our cabin steward Joselito was wonderful, and we gave him a tip in appreciation, the entertainment in the theatre was brilliant but could have lasted a little longer, cabin was good a few little hiccups but nothing that wasn't attended to promptly price was good for us as we are pensioners, one other waitress in the one of the bars was also very nice always remembered us and very friendly her name was Gladys we also thanked her with a tip, the only negative I have is when standing on the Promenade deck I was soaked with cold water coming from inside the ship, it was attended to quickly but left me very cold and wet, but otherwise very enjoyable, I would travel with you again and recommend your cruises to others"

Carnival Spirit is a great ship to cruise on. - Carnival Spirit Cruise Review

"I can not complain about the service on the Carnival Spirit. Room: we had an aft extended balcony room. The room was a good size it fit three of us comfortably and the balcony was a good size. Being aft it was a bit rougher than mid and we felt a bit of movement, we were unfortunate to hit bad weather so it got pretty rocky . Unfortunately it was also Over the Empire restaurant so if we were on the balcony we got hit with food smells, I would have preferred fresh air. Our room steward was lovely can't complain at all. Food: I felt the food onboard was of high standard and I'm pretty fussy. We preferred the Empire for dinner, the service was great and the food was pretty good. We hit the ,,Noveau one night and the meat was beautiful, good quality and beautifully cooked. The buffet had a good variety and everything I tried was pretty good. The Blue Iguana does a great burrito and the Fountain cafe coffee was lovely. Drinks: I would not recommend the bottomless bubbles package unless you want more than 7 soft drinks a day. Soft drink and juice is very cheap so I would not bother with the package. The cocktails were tasty and reasonable priced, bottled water was only 1.50 in the lolly shop but there is iced water all over the ship. Entertainment : The fun squad were great I enjoyed trivia and the Hasbro games, only complaint was the lack of seating in the areas they held these. The comedy club Was hilarious , some really good acts. The shows were pretty ordinary, the singing was not great and we only went to two performances as they were pretty bad. The karaoke was good as were the bands in the bars and the Lip Sync battle was hilarious. Overall I thought it was pretty good except the weather which ruined the shore excursions but obviously that Was beyond their control."

Wonderful weekend cruise out of Sydney - Westerdam Cruise Review

"Enjoyable cruise - something for everyone. Great entertainment ... Ice Show was special. Fun activities - Flow-Rider was a hoot! Food was first class and service was very good - staff are wonderful. Ship is beautiful. Got a little crowded but there were break-out areas where you could escape. Power points were not compatible with Australian appliances. Would have packed adaptors if we knew that .... had to join a long queue to get an adaptor so we could have just one working power point. Also my husband and I would have liked to have done the 'Behind the Scenes Tour' but I did not bring closed shoes. Again, had we known, would have been prepared. All-in-all we had a fab short cruise ... felt like we had been away for a week not just 3 nights."

Not so wonderful review on Pacific Explorer - P&O - Pacific Explorer Cruise Review

"Wasn't the greatest start to out very first cruise. When we boarded, all we could smell was sewerage stench. This stench was worse at our cabin. We went to the Pantry for lunch after we boarded. This was a massive "hot box" with minimal aircon and hundreds of other passengers doing the same thing at the same time! Why did crazy cruises give us time options of when to check in and board? Crazy Cruises lead me to believe that our 12.30pm check in was the earliest. It appeared at the terminal, it was everyone checking in and boarding when they felt like it. Naturally everyone would want to get on as early as possible to soak up the atmosphere and get a position to sail out of Sydney Harbour with the best view. The ship is quite dated. The Cruise itself was fine, the shows were ok, but a lot of miming to the songs. The staff weren't the happiest bunch, except for the Bingo guy. he made the cruise for me. His personality and sense of humour was outstanding. He's a big asset to P&O. We did experience on the first night the sewerage smellin our cabin, and it was extremely hard to go to sleep, we were just lucky that we had a balcony and could open the door. The smell was still there the next day but not as bad, and by the third day is had gone. I guess it could have been worse and the smell was through the entire boat. On the Saturday night upon returning to our cabin, we have information about our disemabkation for the cruise. We all need to be out of our cabins by 8am. Now Crazy Cruises asked us when booking, what time we'd like to get off, 9am or 10am. Why bother asking this when it's not the case. We certainly weren't going to wander around on the boat with our luggage in tow! On the Monday morning, disembarkation day, the entire ship was woken a 5am with an exercise drill call and the next call with the sounding beeps, we would all need to take our life jackets to out muster point. There was NO sounding beeps and so we decided to go to breakfast. There were passengers wandering around at breakfast with their life jackets just in case!!!! Crazy Cruises need to sharpen there act and get the facts right on what actually happens. We wouldn't do another 3 day cruise on the Pacific Explorer, other passengers have told us of better boats to go on with better things to do and entertainment. The main thing is we didn't get sea sick, or any gastro or flus that's a plus. "
