Golden Princess Reviews

Paul Woods travelled in January, 2020 and left the following review:
We did a 13 day NZ dukes on the Golden Princess ,we had a wonderful time great ship great service fantastic food and entertainment . We both had the drinks package and we feel this was quiet expensive at nearly $100 a day each . Cabin dated but clean and functional . Ship tours very overpriced and therefore we booked our own. Overall we had a great time and will go again with Princess if a good deal comes up.
Alec Shiffman travelled in October, 2018 and left the following review:
An old and tired ship No possible comparison to some of its newer sisters. Eminently unsuitable for older and mobility challenged passengers. My wife brought her own wheelchair on board and it spent almost the entire 14 days stowed on the balcony because while the room stewards were busy, their trolleys blocked the narraow passageways so there was no hope of getting by with the chair. My wife spent the entire cruise either confined to her cabin (stateroom ? be real) or tottering to a restaurant with a stick just for meals. The priority embarcation and disembarcation we had been promised on booking were nowhere to be seen. The gold on this one is tarnished, both on the vessel and those who sail her. But then, I guess that's why she's been relegated to Melbourne.
EJ Bateson travelled in January, 2018 and left the following review:
The ship was in good order. As far as we know there were no somach upsets or "cruise coughs". Perhaps thanks to the forced hygene on the ship. We think quality and choice in the traditional dining room has slipped a bit with princess Cruises though I don't think any of us dine up to their standards all the time at home. There is plenty to do on the ship if you are young and agile. At least 70% of the passengers were over 60 years old . There were quite a few with mobility problems too, who seemed to be well catered for, and the usual very obese who indulged themselves continuously, We tried the Crown restauraunt which was very good, foodwise and atmosphere. We were a bit disappointed with the Saburtini Italian restauaunt though they had the better venue. Not being Italian I can't complain about the food but it wasn't to my taste and there was not a lot of choice. We had steak which was excellent. Our inside cabin was average size but very clean. The bedding was very comfortable, and the steward, Max, did his job efficiently with friendly attitude. Most of the over- 50s would agree that the very loud screething "music" and over- enthusiastic announcements are very irritating, and need to be softened. New Zealand is a beautiful country and we enjoyed every port. However, shore excursions with Princess are very expensive and well managed. We always take excursions with Viator a very reliable Company who garantee to return to the ship in time and on the whole, they are about 20% cheaper and very good value.

Our cabin Steward was invaluable to us, he was informative and always serviced our room to a high standard The room itself was lovely and the beds were like sleeping on clouds The food was yummy and the room service was handy with my teenage son bounding in our room past midnight after enjoying the evening in the teenagers club hungry Variety of activities were awesome and they had every minute covered I saw a pod of 4 dolphins playing next to the ship when I was dining in the buffet The ports we visited were fabulous and well organised with the electronic security checks
Jessica travelled in December, 2017 and left the following review:
I took my 13 & 15 year old sons on the 6 night Tasmania cruise..... We LOVED it! The food was amazing. Entertainment to suits everyone’s interests. Tender boats for shore excursions was easy. The cabin was cosy and the beds were really comfortable. We will definitely cruise with Princess again
Michelle Everson travelled in November, 2017 and left the following review:
We found Crazy Cruises very helpful and professional. Our cruise was wonderful and we have come back very rested. I have recommended this cruise to my friends and family.
Karen Wetton-Smith travelled in October, 2017 and left the following review:
Old ship in desperate need of renovation. Blocked toilets on the Promenade Deck resulting in a foul smell in the whole area. We were double charged for a special dinner & all my emails to try and rectify this have been ignored. I would never recommend this cruise.
