P&O Pacific explorer - P&O - Pacific Explorer Cruise Review

"P&O staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Our cabin was small but comfortable and very clean. Overall an enjoyable cruise. One of the negative points for us was the food. If you like more traditional plain food this is NOT the ship for you. The other negative point was the layout of the theatre. It is small and the seats are not spaced or raised enough as it is difficult to see over anyone sat in front of you. We gave up going in to watch the shows. We booked through a Cruise Republic. Excellent company. Have used them for many years and can thoroughly recommend them. "

Sickness everywhere - Ovation of the Seas Cruise Review

"The ship, the entertainment, the food, the staff, everything was 100%. But after 5 days - passengers started to fall ill. 72% of our group returned home with influenza A. A reportable illness. Personally, eleven days after I went down I’m still not better. Not sure wether this is to do with hygiene, air conditioning, or other source...... but our collective holidays were ruined. What a waste of time and money. "

Unpleasant experience - P&O - Pacific Explorer Cruise Review

"I would not recommend going on this ship to anyone, Deck 12 was dirty all the time, the rooms were tiny for 4 and had no room for suitcases, bar staff were unfriendly and would hardly ever get your drink and return it. I used to love P&O as I have cruised 3 times with them on The Pearl, but the Pacific Explorer has now ruined my family and myself’s confidence crusing with P&O, nor did we get our onboard spending money. Overall not a great experience and won’t be returning to P&O instead I’ll go for another cruise liner."

Queen Elizabeth v Princess Cruises - Queen Elizabeth Cruise Review

"I had the opportunity to cruise between Fremantle and Melbourne onboard Cunard's Queen Elizabeth last week. I had been looking forward to experiencing everything fabulous from the stateroom to the food as portrayed in the hype for Cunard. I was not surprised by the elegance and tasteful décor of the ship or its standard of repair and presentation. It was very much as the brochures state. The food offered was good, but not 5 star. Selections in the Britannia restaurant were favourable except on the first evening when there was nothing to suit our dietary requirements, but the buffet was sufficient. The standard of service was NOT up to expectations. Our cabin steward gave the impression that we "Australian" guests were below his station, and when asked a question once, he merely chuckled and walked away. The bedding configuration was not as requested so I asked if he could please amend to being two single beds. This was mid afternoon upon boarding. He stated he would do it on turn down. We were back from the 8:30 pm show, and he was only just commencing the bedding change. Whilst our waiter in the Britannia was courteous and attentive to us, he was quite rude to the couple beside us. On the whole, the Queen Elizabeth (ship) out rated my experiences on the likes of Golden/Emerald/Diamond Princess, however, the service provided on Princess cruises far exceed that received on the Queen Elizabeth."

Wonderful cruise on Sun Princess - Sun Princess Cruise Review

"We had a wonderful cruise on Sun Princess. Right from the start of boarding to disembark, ent, the staff were wonderful, nothing to much. The entertainment was outstanding, never seen a anything like it. The food in the Buffett was a disappointment Too much of repeated food, it made me feel sick in the end. We did go to the Dinning room but also presented well but not much variety. Plenty to do on sea days always something you could find to do. Room stewards very good and helpful."

First Cruise - Pacific Jewel - P&O - Pacific Jewel Cruise Review

"I traveled with my 3 adult children, we had 2 x twin rooms. Both rooms were on the same floor but different corridors. We spent most of our time out and about on the ship so I was very happy with our inside stateroom and didn't feel that it was undersized or cramped at all. The cleaners were extremely professional in their approached to their daily chores and appeared to work long hours but were always cheerful and happy to answer any question or query a person might have. There was never a chance or reason to be bored or feel alone on the ship as there was always plenty of entertainment on offer. The entertainment team did an amazing job creating many different activities to suit all on board. They always appeared happy and interested in whatever they were presenting, which must be hard to do after cruising for 12 days. The food in 'The Pantry" was of a high standard and once again the staff serving at each counter were happy to accommodate the needs of each individual diner. The drinks waiters were very diligent and made it pleasant to request a drink and were able to memorize each persons order without any problems. The restaurants also offered amazing choices on their menus at very reasonable prices. The food at Salt Grill was always a very high standard. I am aware that we traveled during the school holiday period but I felt the under age children had almost uninterrupted freedom on the ship. It appeared they had activities designed for the under 18 age group but they were also able to attend the evening events. I felt this over loaded the meeting bars and created congestion for those people who were travelling without children but chose to also attend the same evening events. My suggestion would be to have a curfew for under 18. Overall I definitely enjoyed my first cruise and have already suggested cruising to many of my friends. "

Happy days on the Jewel!! - P&O - Pacific Jewel Cruise Review

"This was our first cruise on a beautiful big ship,& from the moment we boarded,we felt relaxed.!..Everyone was so helpful & polite, the staff bent over backwards for us ,our cabin was most comfortable & the guys did a great job of keeping it clean for us..The choice of food available was fantastic! Everything was fresh each day....There was nothing that we didn't like & the waiting staff were most polite & friendly .There was always something to do on board with trivia & games etc to play & the entertainment was first class. The cabaret style shows were a favourite too!Steady Eddie even made an appearance & we got to meet the man himself! We had the best week on our "taste of Tassie" cruise & would totally recommend it for a true getaway!"

wonderful review on Pacific Jewel - P&O - Pacific Jewel Cruise Review

"Everything was outstanding. all members of the crew were amazing. the food was outstanding. My only concern was that I was unable to access the pool due to not being able to use a ladder. If there was some type of ramp it would help older people to enjoy a swim. The food -5 stars The entertainment 10 stars The price 5 stars The cabin 5 stars The crew 8 stars especially Pablo and Mathew"
